Courtney's background includes honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, where I gained extensive experience in combat and logistics operations. As a Motor Transportation Operator and Examiner, I played a critical role in numerous combative missions and convoy operations during my deployment to Afghanistan in 2010 . My final tour of duty saw me as a Combat Logistics Instructor with the Advisor Training Cell (ATC) under the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. There, I trained Marines from various units, helping prepare them as advisors to Afghan security forces, with instruction ranging from firearms to tactical driving based on mission needs.

 

In the private sector, I have applied these skills by providing elite security services to corporate clients, high-profile individuals, and vendors. Over the past 17 years, I’ve built a reputation for delivering protection at the highest levels, whether it be in executive protection, close protection, or advanced logistical security support.

 

As a martial artist with 30 years of experience studying Taekwondo, Hapkido, boxing, and holding a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I bring a well-rounded understanding of self-defense and tactical combat. This expertise directly influences the specialized training and seminars we provide, including women’s self-defense workshops and bullying prevention courses for children.

 

At BPS LLC, we offer a range of services designed to meet the unique challenges of today’s security landscape. As a USCCA-certified firearms instructor, I provide courses such as "Countering the Mass Shooter Threat" and "Emergency Trauma First Aid Fundamentals," equipping clients with the skills and knowledge to respond to critical incidents.

 

Our services extend beyond individual clients to corporate entities, where we offer in-depth training programs, including de-escalation techniques, home defense, and advanced operational tactics. We also supply security advance support for PSD teams and close protection operatives.

 

In addition to my work in protective services, I am a Registered Psychotherapist unlicensed license under (DORA) CO, dedicated to fostering mental resilience and positive living. My passion for education, training, and mental health reflects the core of what we do at BPS LLC—protecting not just physical safety, but overall well-being.

Corey Burris is a CISO with a B.S. in Criminology, a M.S. in Information System Security, and a CISSP certification. He has over 20 years of professional experience in multiple verticals in the security industry. He's an expert communicator and has working proficiency in multiple languages to include,Russian, Arabic (MSA), and Español.

His expertise arises from conducting operations in physical security, diplomatic close protection (OCONUS), and Cyber

Security. Corey possess information system auditing skills and has helped countless organizations from small & (mom n pops) to large multinational companies achieve compliance with various regulatory frameworks.

As a United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran, Corey has demonstrated exemplary team leadership in multiple critical counter intelligence environments and displayed intellectual cunning to get the job done.

 

His response training which includes tactics, techniques, and procedures required to prepare for and respond to man-

made and natural disasters. He has also completed Department of State specialized training in use of firearms, defensive tactics,

technical and physical security equipment, emergency first aid, fire response, improvised explosive detection and destruction of controlled material in United States Embassies.

 

His historical close protection clientele includes Angelina Jolie, Evander Holyfield, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, George W.

Bush and Condoleezza Rice. He has protected.

 

Various other high level government officials representing the United States of America at Embassies abroad and Foreign National delegates alike.

 

Corey earned his Bachelors of Science in Criminology from the University of South Florida. He holds a Masters of Science in

Information Systems Security from the University of Denver. He is also a CISSP in good standing.

 

He enjoys everything tactical and spends as much of his time as possible with his Wife, 2 small children and doggo in nature

learning about wildlife.
